Medqal

Medqalis a popular southern tradition dating back to many centuries. It is the arrival of a tribe or guests to another tribe in a formation of consecutive lines, with each linecomprising five or more persons and headed by the tribe elders and leaders. This tradition is found in Rijalal Hajarand resembles military parades found in celebrations in some countries, nowadays. It was used in wars in ancient times, before the KSA was unified, to display the power of opposing tribes and instill terror in the hearts of their opponents or enemies.
