This Rare Architectural Masterpiece Is Found In Harrat Khaybar – Al Sweida - in a Village called Al Thamad. Thousands Of Years Have Borne Witness To The Greatness Of This Ancient Dam, Which has been Built On The Crossroads Of Two Great Valleys Brought Together By This Giant. The Dam Is Approximately 170m Long And 40m High. Routes And Large Pedestrian Passageways Are Found On Top Of The Dam In Peculiar Architectural Forms. What Is Even More Peculiar Is The Massive Size Of The Rocks Used To Build The Dam. Some people Speculate That Pharaonic Touches Can Be Found In Terms Of Design And Volume. Experts Have Not Come To A Consensus On The Period During Which The Dam Was Built, But It Is Probable That It Dates Back To The Early Islamic Period.
